At the bottom of the page you’ll find links to my GitHub and LinkedIn pages. However, those platforms only scratch the surface of what people are like. To get a better idea of who I am, here are some facts about me:
- My middle name is Thomas, which comes from my grandfather, Thomas Murray, who was a professor of structural engineering at Virginia Tech and a member of the National Academy of Engineers.
- I grew up in a small midwestern town of a little over 3,000 people in Southern Indiana.
- I participated in Cub and Boy Scouts from the ages of 6 to 16.
- I played American football competitively from the ages of 7 to 16. My doctor says I have might damage brain irreversible1.
- I was raised Catholic and served as an altar boy from the ages of 10 to 16.
- I gave up Boy Scouts, football, and altar serving to attend the Indiana Academy for Science, Mathematics, and Humanities, a two-year public residential magnet school in Muncie, Indiana. That was the best decision I have ever made.

I’ll admit, that’s very confusing. Are all these photos of me? Indeed, most are. Let me explain:

- top row, 3rd from the left - During the academic year 2024-2025, I pursued a Fulbright Scholarship in Budapest, Hungary. That photo is from an article my host institution, the Wigner Research Centre for Physics, wrote about me.
- top row, 3rd from the right - Most people don’t believe this image is of me, but it is. During the COVID-19 pandemic, my close friends and I lived in various Airbnbs around the US. Buisness Insider even wrote an article mentioning our adventures. During that time I grew out my hair. I don’t think I’ll make that mistake again.
- top row, 2nd from the right - I walked on to the MIT Men’s Heavyweight Rowing team during my freshman year, and subsequently rowed crew for all 4 undergraduate years. That photo is from the Crew team’s 2021-2022 roster.
- middle row, 2 leftmost images - I came to MIT on an Army ROTC scholarship and was a cadet during my freshman year. Those images are of me commisioning into the Army. ROTC did not agree with me, so I quit.
- middle row, middle image - I was also a member of a fraternity, , while an undergrad at MIT. That photo is from when I pledged.
- middle row, 2nd from the right - Guess. Is that me?2
- middle row, rightmost image - My good friend Luke Igel and I once gave a talk about Cybernetics for TEDxMIT.
- bottom row, rightmost image - Keith Murray is also the name of a little-known rapper from the 90s. He gives some wild interviews about how crazy the rap scene was back then.
